We can't stop giving thanks!!

>> December 2, 2008

So, we had the most amazing past couple of weeks enjoying this precious time with my grandparents. They stayed at all four of the sisters homes for a few days each. We absolutely love having them and wish they were closer than 11 hours.
Thanksgiving was definitely one of the best yet....the only people we were missing was my parents. HOpefully next year they can come eat some turkey and stuffing with us all. We had the most amazing spread, all of Tre's family came (Stephanie's in-laws)and I took lots and lots of pictures as usual and for some reason my camera followed my grandpa every chance it got. We enjoyed watching Jaelyn play on her little drum set with grandpa (as he used to play the drums and used to play with Nat King Cole himself!!!). It was so sweet he would play and she would copy him. It is neat to know that Jaelyn will always have these pictures of her great-grandparents and her playing. We drank lots of egg nog, even some with a little whiskey already mixed in it...let me tell you we gave grandpa just a tad and he was pounding away on the drums. It was so much fun...we definitely have so much to be thankful for.
Thanksgiving day included all four sisters, their spouses, all of the kiddos, Regina and her boyfriend, whom I've know for 15 years now! It was just perfect, all of the people we care so much for and love.
We all ate entirely too much and relaxed, laughed, played, and laughed some more. We definitely created memories to last a lifetime.

Now, on to DECEMBER ALREADY??? It's Jaelyn's first Christmas which definitely got us movtivated to get pictures taken! My girlfriend Shirlee brought her studio to our house and "set up shop". I am so thankful for her, she does this for nothing for Tom and I. (Her brother is Tom's best friend since they were young, so she considers us family) It's so sweet of her...she loves to take photos of our girl so we let her...plus it's always wonderful when the photgrapher tells you she loves to photograph you because it's "easy". What a compliment! They turned out really good.
So we have had the tree up since a couple days before Thanksgiving since I knew dinner was at Stephanie's house! It's almost always at ours so it was nice to be somewhere different.
Here are quite a few pictures from Turkey Day...we had a wonderful holiday.
